In PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, as a younger pup, Skye was raised in a barn where she spent her days waiting to be adopted until she caught a glimpse of Ryder, who was making a delivery, and chased after him through a severe blizzard. She has excellent memorization skills (as seen in " Pup Pup Boogie"). Her main color is pink.Īs the team's air rescue pup, her main jobs are flying and locating things, often seen with her helicopter's grappling hook and harness, helping people and transporting other team members. He was flanderized in his later appearances because Spin Master didn't want people to notice that he was the one who was being teated poorly.Īlso, there have been characters like Humdinger and Copycat who have done much worse things such as kidnapping and attempted murder, so you should be more concerned if anyone tries to defend those two.Skye is a seven-year-old cockapoo and the first female member of the PAW Patrol. What he did was wrong, but he wanted to get back at the people who hurt him, which is understable. Moby was sick of being forced into something he didn't want to do and nobody was respecting his boundaries. However, he was punished for his incident while Liberty got off scot-free. Claw's first dragon incident still caused less damage than Liberty's bear incident. Compare it to Liberty's bear incident, where she intentionally brought the bear into town and Uncle Otis got hurt because of it. Claw did do something wrong, but he didn't intend on riding the dragon into town and nobody got hurt, only the cake got destroyed. Arrby has no way to escape and Dwayne and Gasket have nowhere else to go. Arrby, Gasket, and Dwayne not leaving is the fault of the writers refusing to break the status quo and not developing the characters for the better. Just because they're mischievous doesn't mean they deserve to be stuck in a bad home. If they had someone else to care for them, they could teach them to do better. Humdinger is a bad influence on the kittens and they're literally just children, and children are impressionable. Spin Master should've really addressed and solved these problems along with the issue Sweetie being neglected instead of sweeping them under the rug. Not to mention they force him to participate and are inconsiderate of his feelings. Moby is treated as an outcast by Coral and the other Merpups because he doesn't want to participate in their parties. Not to mention he didn't hurt anyone unlike Liberty's bear incident, where Ryder just let her get off with no consequence. The Princess and the Earl were total hypocrites towards Claw about the dragon incident since they praised the Paw Patrol for bringing dragons on purpose into while he was punished for it when it was an accident. Gasket tries to stand up against Hubcap but she doesn't realize the way she's doing it is making Dwayne upset since he doesn't like seeing people fight. Dwayne and Gasket have to put up with Hubcap's toxicity everyday. Arrby's friendship with Sid is unhealthy. Humdinger treats his kittens as slaves and makes them do his laundry. Sweetie sadly isn't the only character who gets mistreated and never has their problems resolved. I think it’s more interesting if Sweeties motivation is attention rather than greed. This is really more a head canon that I have though, but still. And that fact that she doesn’t get properly punished for anything, as if the POB doesn’t see her as anything more than just a “Silly Little Pup” rather than someone with emotions and problems that need to be fixed. There are other examples such as in the introductory episode, Sweetie talks about “Getting the respect she deserves” by stealing the crown. And then there’s the fact that throughout the episode Sweetie seems to be more focused on getting all the attention on her over everything else. Season Five Episode Eighteen Segment A is a perfect examples of this, POB(Princess of Barkingburgh) doesn’t even remember to introduce Sweetie, period, not like “Oh she introduced Sweetie last” no Sweetie had to remind POB of her existence entirely. I think Sweetie has gotten a major short straw in the show, and is neglected to hell and back. Ok so I’m gonna open this with the fact that I like the Mission Paw gimmick more than the other ones, and I’m only on Episode Nineteen of Season Five so I haven’t seen everything.
